This is just painful. My son is one of them. I worry about him every single day. He has sent our 100s of CVs and had 2-3 interviews - https://t.co/Y5eUVkiVG1
Chloe to Speaker re 'lie'
"You have punished me - personally - multiple times for the use of that word.
"I'm seeking your guidance as to whether this rule applies universally, or there's one rule for us and another for him" she said, pointing at Peters."

Chloe got thrown out of the chamber because she said Brownlee had double standards. She was pointing out the truth. She previously got thrown out because she used the word 'lie', Peters used it today and nothing happened.
NZ can but dream...
"Who now flies between London and Paris,or indeed Barcelona and Madrid, or Rome and Milan? The sensible choice for most people will be a pleasant train ride with fewer security hurdles to overcome and city-centre to city-centre travel"

Can't believe 3 years have passed and it's played out as forecast. Mean ass welfare policies despite record numbers of jobseekers, fiscal responsibility driving ever larger debts, workplace safety screwed, little shits open season declared, and, cartoonish nonsense from Winnie.
“It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.”
— Written by Mark Vonnegut (1975), summarising the philosophy of J. Krishnamurti.
3 relatively stable years
No terror attacks
No earthquakes
No volcanos
No pandemic
Very few extreme weather events
And still they managed to spend more, fuck the ferry deal, increase, the cost of living, unemployment, emigration, gang numbers, & hospital waiting lists

@foundersam Brown is doing what their paymasters requested...run down the health service and transfer more and more to private providers.
All those private hospitals and other tech facilities aren't being built for nothing.
3. FINANCE IS NOT LIMITED WHEN YOU ISSUE IT YOURSELF.
IN THE POLITEST POSSIBLE WAY I HAVE TO SAY: GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEAD.
IF THERE ARE UNUSED RESOURCES IN THE ECONOMY - INCLUDING PEOPLE - YOU ARE MISMANAGING THE ECONOMY.
Money is not a commodity. It is a state-created tax credit that enables the currency issuer to provision the public realm. Get this wrong and you frame fiscal policy as household budgeting.

This shot of the beach at Takapuna, New Zealand, was taken by Robert Walrond 1913 and looks more akin to a wateroclour painting than an Autochrome photograph. It is quite special 😍 The contemporary view of the beach, island and tree was kindly supplied by @strawhouse
@GregPresland Righted said by Hipkins “They have had three years to make life easier for Kiwis and support families but have instead cut Best Start support for parents, reduced funding for school lunches, cut women's pay, and failed to tackle the cost of living."
Oceana Gold Herald story reminded me how they enjoy a grandfathered royalties rate of 1% at all present and future Waihi mines including new Wharekirauponga mine ( not at Waihi) - everyone else pays 2% and it’s being reviewed - but not for Oceana Gold at Waihi ….
In Thatchers own words “privatisation of the energy industry will make us the envy of Europe” Thanks Margaret, you made a few people very rich and the rest of us much poorer.
NZ private sector is basically in hibernation - running a surplus even! This is unheard of in NZ outside of major shocks and crashes. The idea that Govt will go from deficits like this to a surplus in a couple of years (while RBNZ tighten) is absolute fantasy. La la land.
