For those who don't subscribe to the New Yorker, I've taken the trouble of screenshotting the entire article.
(Sorry, New Yorker! As many people as possible need to read this.)

@LuxonNotMyGovt 10 years ago, my ADHD son was marked chronically absent by the school even though he had high attendance but would get to school 10m late, and miss roll call. I knew this Seymour crap would be a total disaster for the families already going through trauma.
Having a child out of school for two weeks when the child's parent suddenly died. A child pressured to attend school the day after emergency surgery. Having a child visit a dying grandparent overseas and staying for their funeral.
Evil cruel despicable David Seymour
Every parent I spoke to was terrified of using their name in case their relationship with their child's school and the Ministry further deteriorated.
This is devastating considering that schools were once part of a parent's village.

Both Don & Tim held senior public sector positions at the time; Don was Reserve Bank Governor & Tim was senior at MFAT. There was confidence by the Govt of the day in their professionalism. Neither faced the kind of attack that this senior police officer now faces.
@mamahorbs@HQNewsNow They were already telling the truth. The video clearly showed Renee Good being murdered. The lies were denying what we all saw with our own eyes.
Scott Pelley reveals that Bari Weiss asked him to "make the [ICE] protesters look more violent" and "describe Renee Good as driving toward the officer" in the video of her murder.
The only reason Minister Mark Mitchell is trying to smear Superintendent Rakesh Naidoo is because he's now a Labour candidate and Mark is scared of debating a former Police Officer in the election!
As the Ethnic, Iwi and Communities national partnerships manager at New Zealand Police, Rakesh has enormous mana and respect from the frontline of how we deal with crime in the community.
Mark is so desperate to smear Rakesh, he's trying to suggest he's seen sensitive Government policy which is garbage.
Mark is scared that National's tough on crime rhetoric will get taken to pieces by a former Superintendent who has just come from the community policing frontline.
National need to stop attacking the person and debate the issues. Kiwis want to feel safe from crime but also from the causes of crime and because all Mark Mitchell knows how to do is punish, he's lashing out trying to attack a former Police Superintendent of outstanding service who has been named at No 13 on the Labour party’s tremendous list . Mark Mitchell should focus on why so many cops are leaving rather pick on someone who has huge community support. This is the ugly side of this National party and I hope Kiwis are taking note of this attack on a great cop who deserves to be treated so much better than the rubbish that is being dished out to him now.
@your1chef@USBornNRaised@nickbilton All anyone has to do is report on the facts. Bari Weiss didn't want to do that. If she really didn't already know the facts of this very important story, she comes across as REALLY amatuerish.
"We need leaders who understand that they are there to deliver health, prosperity and happiness to as many citizens as possible, not just the wealthy and privileged."
Dame Anne Salmond
Luxon's lot is failing us in that regard.
If you poured a litre of poison in the Fonterra CEO's pool, you'd be arrested, and thrown in jail.
The dairy industry contaminates whole rivers and aquifers, but that's just business.

@NZNationalParty What you've actually done is create anger by dividing NZ into Wealthy & Sorteds v Bottom Feeders. The latter know who they are when they do their weekly shop and what was $5 is now $7, and can no longer afford to heat the house and behind in rates and insurance - despite WORKING.
Shocking!
New research shows that a whopping $11.8b has been wasted due to the government pausing, cancelling or delaying projects such as Auckland light rail, Dunedin Hospital and the Interislander ferries.

@h_m_s@nickofnz Definitely, surprised it's not already in there - this is a massive cost passed onto communities in the form of rates, and those who ignorantly fought against it are making the most noise about their rates.
If @dbseymour wants to stop 'unelected people' having a say in government decisions, then he has to stand down EVERY list MP, esp @nicolawillismp who has never EVER won ANY election, and @mangonui08, who was NOT elected last time.
Either that, or shut the fuck up, David.
Dear right wing hate Trolls – YOUR Government is borrowing more than Jacinda did and you don’t have a once in a century pandemic to justify it
The argument being used to justify the massive budget cuts to public services is that Labour overspent with Covid, and yet National are borrowing way more, despite them pretending they aren’t…

@Feijoa_Chutney governance roles typically require an estimated 5 to 20 hours per week, how much is she being paid an hour? She was never outstanding as a person by any metric, except maybe willingness to do what a RW Govt would want her to do, like be ruthless.
@Feijoa_Chutney "Important we get good people" for these jobs says Seymour. JFC this is DEI for Seymour's mates, nothing to do with the best for the job.
