How fun to have @GMA do a story on Lucy and my thoughts on kindness. I love that people care about having these important conversations with their kids about making an intentional effort to be kind. No matter what we see on the outside, everyone needs a friend. ❤️ #justbenice
In a moment of vulnerability, one mom opened up on Facebook about her teenage daughter's back-to-school anxieties. What she didn't expect was that the message would go viral. ❤️ https://t.co/58hTwU7M1b
@jahsounds We tried! I’m devastated that all of our children have another 4 years hearing him spew hate, bigotry, and misogyny. They deserve so much better than him. I will never understand the lack of compassion and concern for others that leads anyone to overlook his deplorable character.
@SISTASinZION It’s beyond discouraging. The hypocrisy gets to me the most. Claiming to be the party of morality and family values and voting for someone who does nothing to reflect that is such a travesty. This was the best chance to reclaim the Republican Party from the grips of MAGA. 😭💔
@Benny827007674 @mitchellvii He also called POWs suckers and losers and broke the law in using Arlington Cemetary for a political stunt. He has no respect for anyone.
@Benny827007674 @mitchellvii My rights shouldn’t evaporate over state lines. Also, not the only reason. Trump called his cronies to tank the bipartisan border bill that was about to pass in February because he wanted to run on border security. He put his own interest ahead of ours. One of many, many reasons.
@Benny827007674 @mitchellvii My whole point is that we aren’t obsessed with abortion. Rather, it’s a complex, nuanced issue that affects women’s health in many ways that don’t even have anything to do with elective abortions.
@Benny827007674 @mitchellvii No, I agree that is terrible. I’m sorry that happened to him.
A lot of people think there should be some exceptions. Some think there should be none. Who gets to draw the line? If it’s your wife/niece/sister/friend, wouldn’t you want them to decide?
@Benny827007674 @mitchellvii But they won’t be scared to treat you and save your life because they might be criminally prosecuted. I don’t disagree with you that compelled military service is messed up and too many have sacrificed too much, but taking away someone else’s freedom doesn’t make it better.
@KissBillTwice Yes bc some of them are great people who have been bamboozled by misinformation and fear tactics. If we let hate and nastiness and divisiveness fester then I don’t think we are any better. I want leaders who reach across the aisle, and I should aim to do that in my life too.
@Benny827007674 @mitchellvii That’s such a weird comparison. If you get drafted, you still have the right to dictate your own medical care. If I get raped or have an ectopic pregnancy, I would also like that right.
Really is a tough call.
On one hand - every Nobel prize winning economist is adamantly stating that Harris has a significantly better economic plan
But on the other hand - the dumbest people I’ve ever interacted with say Trump is a good businessman
Quite the dilemma
@PatinkinMandy Jan 6th made me immediately regret holding my nose & voting for Trump. I was on the wrong side of history. I felt no more party allegiance and tried to look at issues with no preconceived notion of where I should land. It turns out I actually aligned more w/ the Dems all along.
@scottew Ugh. It’s been incredibly discouraging to see the r-word making a resurgence. I have a daughter w/ disabilities & hearing that used as an insult cuts deep. Being sensitive & empathetic isn’t weakness & being a mean bully isn’t strength, no matter how hard they try to make it so.
This is... maybe the most horrifying political ad I have ever seen.
Partly because of the content, partly because it's a reasonable portrayal of the world we are in and will be heading deeper into if we men don't vote in massive numbers for Kamala Harris.
