@klhicks912 I took courses on teaching writing, but that meant we were authors first and then workshopped each other’s work. I won’t say it wasn’t valuable (and very enjoyable), but you can create your own workshop community (here, for example) for a lot less money.

Just spent my day off finishing this chilling young adult #dystopia, #TheLastCuentista, with its refreshing Mexican American flavor. Had me in tears thinking about what we do and don’t value in America society. And it made me want to #write stories forever. Thank you @dbhiguera

@jhernandezbooks Even when it’s not heavy I have a hard time separating. Tranitioning in and out of writing is often even harder for me to do than actually put my clothes away. But to transition out before my kids get home I try to walk or shower.

I watched it bc it’s so beloved by so many, but it just felt like a big kick in the pants to both women and little bookshops. Always wondered if it would have been as successful if their roles were reversed.

@poppygibsonuk Love this question. I think the answer's different for everyone. For some the label creates a thing you can better see and understand. You can also benefit from being part of a community. But I can see the definition being detrimental for some. Personally I'm in the former group.
