@jk_rowling @iz_me_alex @detransaqua Most treatments for medical conditions cause harm. Any surgery causes scarring, any medication has side effects, any misdiagnosis causes mistreatment. That's part of medicine. If we can't do anything because we might be wrong, then why even have doctors?

@jk_rowling Those studies use the DSM 4 definition of transgender, which includes any gender non-conforming children. Gender non-conforming children do not grow up to be trans adults because they were never trans, and they are far more common. The study was flawed.
