We are delighted to announce the appointment of Samuel Williams as Assistant Curate in our parishes from next summer! Please pray for him as he prepares for his ordination and new ministry among us.
The news reaches us that @CleoSylvestre has died. A towering figure in the theatre in terms of inclusion although a tiny figure physically. A friend to so many. May she rest in peace and rise in glory.
Hearts of Hackney .... Aleka Gutzmore in conversation with Steve Oram on the importance of providing young people with encouragement, guidance and opportunities to choose the right path.
Aleka: "I’d love for us all to learn the importance of small, powerful acts of recognition"
It's publication day!!
If you would like a signed copy of the book you can buy one from our fabulous Cathedral shop, leave a message in the box and they'll summon me over to write in it!

Many thanks to Bishop of Stepney Joanne Grenfell & @PrivateEyeNews for again highlighting Jason's injustice case & @ccrcupdate failings in new issue out today. Justice Sec. @ShabanaMahmood will hopefully turn up the heat and demand swift action by interviewing key witness...
Peaceful protest
Please join us and bring a friend to 10 Downing Street
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 2 at 10.00am
Please help us to keep Jason's wrongful conviction in public eye and put pressure on @ccrcupdate to get him back to Court of Appeal.
Thank you for your interest and support.
I’ve had a moving & eloquent email from a young lady who was a founding member of @hackneychoral. She’s off to @UniofOxford to read Law, & puts this down to early experiences she had through HCC, which gave her a voice in many new places. A great day for church music! 🥹🎶
It has been such a joy to watch the Hackney Choral Course one year on from hanging up my London boots and passing the baton to @webruce_. Bravo, friends on giving local children such an enriching and fun week.
'That any of us could be imprisoned in Jason’s circumstances is disturbing, that we would spend years waiting just to have our case reviewed is harrowing.’ Bishop of Stepney writes to justice secretary Shanana Mahmood on behalf of @FreeJasonMoore https://t.co/BTynlG46D5
