Our final stop of the tour was a trip to the International Hockey Federation (FIH). It was great to hear how inclusive of a sport it is compared to all the other sports in the world with a 50/50 split amongst male and female athletes #UCSportMgtEuro23 @UCSportMgtFLP

Tuesday finished up with a trip to the ITA, where we learned about the world of doping in sport and the intricate process and measures they take to in order to prevent cheating in sport. It’s more than just testing.

Next we got to have a tour around the Olympic Museum, showcasing the complete history of the modern summer and winter games. I loved seeing the collection of Olympic torches plus the collection of medals from every Olympic Games #UCSportMgtEuro23 @UCSportMgtFLP

On Tuesday we spent time at the Olympic Studies Centre and heard about all the amazing historical artefacts they have in their archives, including a document just prior to the first ever modern Olympics in Athens in 1894 #UCSportMgtEuro23 @UCSportMgtFLP

BCW is an organisation which assists select countries and city’s looking to host some of the biggest and greatest sporting events on the planet. Most countries are looking to steer away for the traditional bidding system to a more popular dialogue system #UCSportMgtEuro23

Our first full day in Switzerland and today we started off at the Sports Court of Arbitration, an organisation that has handled some of the most high profile cases in recent sports history, from Anti-Doping cases to eligibility plus many more @UCSportMgtFLP #UCSportMgtEuro23

Our last lecture from our trip in the UK was a trip to London Sport, an organisation coming up with innovative ideas and solution to help disadvantaged Londoners participate in physical activity @UCSportMgtFLP #UCSportMgtEuro23

Tonight was huge, not only did we have front row seats to the cricket at Lords, but I got a chance to meet a sporting hero; the one and only Martin Tyler: the voice of football when I was growing up. Cheers Martin @UCSportMgtFLP #UCSportMgtEuro23

Grassroots football is massive in the UK and is continuing to grow year in year out. It’s great to see so many initiatives the FA have come up with to get young people involved in football from a grassroots level, especially young girls @UCSportMgtFLP #UCSportMgtEuro23

Today started off at Wembley with a talk from the FA from people across key areas of the world of football in the UK @UCSportMgtFLP #UCSportMgtEuro23

A key part of Paul’s chat was the FA’s strategy to help maximise football’s impact throughout the UK and to help make football for everyone. They’ve already achieved their a few of these goals let’s see if they can complete all by 2024 @UCSportMgtFLP #UCSportMgtEuro23

Our final tour from a hectic week in Madrid took us to the @ESC_LaLiga_NBA centre that houses some of the best up and coming talent in football and basketball. Scholarships will become available to those who can’t afford the hearty fee @UCSportMgtFLP #UCSportMgtEuro23
