@MotorRoach No, from recent interview with producer Miguel Angel Faura, the film was funded fully by Toei with no investment from Sony (they simply distributed the film). He also said there were no investors in the US interested in investing in the film.
@DyangoB @TotalMK@tabmok99 Thatโs Terry Farrell. But the spots on her face are actually inspired by Famkeโs characterโs appearance on Star Trek TNG and Famke was offered the role, so itโs probably not a coincidence that they cast someone who looks a bit like Famke.
@lilinskip Rain is my favourite. Congrats on your new job btw. Will this database be public? I watch a lot of French & Quebec films, so I would be interested in finding out more
@SpiralShark She does look like Famke as Jean in X1 (in particular the scene where she addresses the Senate). Sheโs Debbie Harry from the band Blondie btw. Itโs a screencap from the classic cult film Videodrome.
@NCC89471 @TrekMovie@4TerryFarrell No, Famke turned down the role that would become Jadzia Dax to focus on her film career instead. This has been confirmed by Famke herself.
@RealHtownDude @KennyGoo She didn't (TNG trills didn't have spots). The DS9 trill makeup was inspired by Kamala's makeup. Famke was offered the role that would become Dax and turned it down, so I guess that trills adopting the spots was a nod to her.
@AliNeedsHelp@lmsympson@SusanSarandon That's a single poll, and you conveniently left out that he placed a distant third in it with 12% support (just 1 point ahead of Harris). Since you're holding that poll up as evidence, do you also accept that he's so far behind Biden & Warren?
@KittyLovaMass@BuckyWTGoodHair@TrekCore It's more about which characters have a close connection to Picard, not about who was essential to TNG. Imo, Beverly, Guinan, Q, Ro, Vash make more sense than characters who didn't have well developed or meaningful relationships with Picard (e.g. Barclay, O'Brien, Keiko, etc.)
@britt_a_allen @TheOverlookFest Great to see Chandra West back, especially in a genre film. I love that Christensen is working with so many talented Canadian women on this film.
