Most open-source databases rely on a single central server to decide which transaction happened first, creating a single point of failure for critical data.
To solve this without relying on a central authority, independent computers on a network perform computational work to batch entries into sequential blocks, a process known as proof-of-work mining.

Instead of requiring an entirely new fleet of hardware that burns extra electricity, @PepecoinNetwork uses a Scrypt framework designed for merged mining. This mechanism enables the existing security base of @litecoin and @dogecoin miners to process and validate pepecoin-network:native transactions at the exact same time, adding zero extra energy overhead for the secondary network.

Operating with an average block time of roughly 60 seconds and supported by over 2,000 Terahashes per second of processing power, this infrastructure shows how digital networks can achieve security by sharing established hardware resources.

That is how a global, frog themed open-source database maintains an immutable record across thousands of independent nodes simultaneously.
