My beloved partner, Michael Epstein, recently passed away. An ADG award-winning designer responsible for art behind The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, and Kenobi, he was honored in the Creative Arts Emmy’s “In Memoriam” segment.
Rest in peace, my love. Your light lives forever.
I’m back in this space and ready to actually talk. I’ve gone back and forth on the platform but I feel like it’s time to meaningfully engage with people in the design and dev industry and no longer treat Twitter like it’s an unimportant place for discourse. #helloagain
@NormalGayPsych Well, at some point after moving to Los Angeles, I realized that performing different versions of myself was hindering me in life. These days, I find that sometimes it changes without me noticing and it takes me a moment to center myself and relax in my own skin.
It makes no sense to award a statue of a golden human to people (and studios) that don’t rely on human effort.

Thank you @oscars

• Screenplays “must be human-authored” to qualify for a nomination

I’ve been back and forth on the ethics of AI within design, but I come back to this point:

AI can design things, but it cannot create art.
Disney will be professionally preserving the Muppet*Vision 3D experience at a private Cast Member filming event on May 14.
Walt Disney World says they will be capturing the “energy, emotion, and magic of Muppet*Vision 3D” before the show’s permanent closure.
It’s currently unknown what the footage will be used for in the future.
Reggie had to convince Miyamoto and Nintendo to include Wii Sports as a free pack in game for the Wii. According to his book, Reggie said Nintendo simply doesn’t believe they should give away their hard work for free. But they relented for the Wii because it was such a new concept.
