Only the Venezuelan people should decide who runs Venezuela and controls its resources. There is no reason why fresh, free and fair elections for Congress and President, held under international supervision, cannot happen and soon
A veil of deep sadness and shock has come over our country this morning with the news emerging of the devastating loss of five young lives overnight in a road traffic accident in County Louth.
Ireland should consider similar to secure our future energy needs. Not only will nuclear energy enhance reliability, but it can also help stabilise and reduce electricity costs for consumers, meeting growing demand and ensuring a more affordable energy future.
🚨 NEW: Keir Starmer has announced Wylfa in North Wales will host the UK’s first small modular nuclear reactors
The Government will invest over £2.5bn and the initial three reactors will power around 3m homes from the mid-2030s
So upsetting to see. Especially for the homeowners. I toured this site before it opened. It was meant to bring much needed homes. Buyers believed they were getting new build standards. Now they’re being moved out over defects. Completely unacceptable.

The Dublin Drainage Project likely delayed until 2032, highlights how our appeals process is holding us back. One individual’s legal challenges has impacted hundreds of projects. It’s time the government review and improve this process so we can keep moving forward!
Disgraceful
We can disagree, that’s democracy. But not intimidation and aggression.
Platforms like X are becoming echo chambers of misinformation. Radicalising people.

'Nobody is going to silence Ireland.'
Taoiseach Simon Harris calls Israel's decision to close its embassy here 'diplomacy of distraction.' He also reacts to the Israeli ambassador calling Ireland's position on Israel 'extreme', on @PatKennyNT this morning.
This is a deeply regrettable decision from the Netanyahu government. I utterly reject the assertion that Ireland is anti-Israel. Ireland is pro-peace, pro-human rights and pro-International law.
My thoughts are with the off duty Gardai who were victims of an alarming & agregious attack in Temple Bar last night, one of who remains in hospital. The perpetrators of this attack will face the full rigours of the law. Anyone with information, please contact An Garda Siochana
Disappointed to see divisive and offensive language from the National Party. Such remarks have no place in modern Irish politics. We should focus on respect, inclusivity, and the real issues that matter to all Irish people. Shameful display of thinly veiled bigotry.
"It’s disappointing to see @RuthCoppingerSP team removing my Thank you leaflets from Corduff letterboxes today. Residents deserve to hear from all parties, and this kind of behavior just isn’t right. Am I surprised though…

This has been reported to An Garda Siochána.
Fingal County Council is advising motorists not to scan any QR codes or bar codes that may appear on Pay and Display machines. Instead, download the genuine parking app Payzone in use directly from your phones app store and use this, or pay directly by card or cash where available.
