The dead body of a kidnapped Israeli woman has been found by IDF forces in a tunnel in Gaza.

Eden Zechariah, 28, was kidnapped from the Nova festival after being shot in her upper body on Oct 7th and held hostage by Hamas ever since.

Her boyfriend, Ofek Kimchi, was killed trying to shield her before she was dragged off to Gaza alive. 

Two IDF soldiers died in the effort to recover her body.

They are named as Master-Sgt. (res.) Gal Meir Eisenkot and Master-Sgt. (res.) Eyal Meir Berkovich.

Additionally, the body of IDF Warrant Officer Ziv Dado, who was also kidnapped on Oct 7th was also recovered, hidden in a tunnel.
