REVIEW: https://t.co/piAIRLoljL
As we approach our final 2 days of #aladdin we wanted to express our appreciation to the amazing cast & crew of this season's @northeastpanto
Each & everyone has worked around the clock to make this our most successful panto of all time. Thank you💙
I’m incredibly proud of our show this year @Playhouse_WB We have such a lovely & talented cast, crew and team of creatives. I’ve been part of some good show at this great theatre, but I think this one takes some beating. Big thank you to @stevebrockphoto for the images 🙏🏽
@OliverDowden@ace_national Sadly Oliver there are many instances of fraud or misappropriation of funds coming to light - look up sundissential limited on companies house. They basically haven’t traded since 2012 and yet we’re given 231k
Also from the paper today LA based firm given almost a million
@OliverDowden@ace_national But it hasn’t been granted fairly? One company gets nearly a million whilst some get nothing?? Also companies that have been dormant until this year suddenly getting £233k? While we have been trading 20 years and get nothing. Doesn’t seem very fair to me!
@OliverDowden how do you feel about @ace_national granting over £233,000 of public taxpayers money to a business that has been dormant until this year and then suddenly active when a grant is available? As well as changing SIC codes to match CRF criteria???
@OliverDowden@DCMS@ace_national Or how about the granting of £223k to a business that was dormant from start up until this year, with no social media presence until this year either. Could clearly have not been effected by COVID and yet @ace_national grant them £223k. Needs to be official review into this!!
@OliverDowden@DCMS@ace_national So it’s fair to give one company £1million and another company nothing. Even tho we work in same part of the industry? Unfairly distributing public tax payers money to wealthy companies while common hardworking businesses like ours get nothing
@OliverDowden@ace_national So what about all the companies you didn’t seem viable for funding? We are now facing loosing our businesses because @ace_national unfairly distributed this money - offering nearly £1million to some and nothing to others
The Chancellor @RishiSunak needs to stop this talk about people in the creative industries going on and doing something else. These are proper jobs in the fastest growing sector in the UK. The government needs to realise this - actors, artists, musicians are vital to our economy
@leebrianfielder@DianaVickers@RishiSunak What about the 1 million workers in the events, arts and music industry? Should all of us retrain? And you say about groups that put on plays down the local theatre. Our business alone earns £100k from amateur shows last year....
@RishiSunak@ITVNewsPolitics No you care about bricks and mortar you don’t care about the people in the arts and events industry. If you did you would be supporting them. Stop throwing around the £1.57bn line when we know this won’t reach people at all. Your own DCMS confirmed this!!!
