Join us in the fight to #BagHunger!
The 2025 Bag Hunger campaign runs from October 26 - November 15. You can help in many meaningful ways:
-Donate at the register
-Purchase a pre-packed bag of food for local food shelves
-Choose products that give back
Every small act adds up!

A big thanks to Senator @grant_hauschild for joining the MGA at Pike Lake Super One to present a donation to @SHNorthland in recognition of his participation in this year’s MGA Bipartisan Bag Off! We also had a great conversation about the challenges facing independent retailers.

A small community grocery store, @almstedsmarket, in Crystal has thrived for more than 60 years. It’s owner, Jim Almsted, recently received a surprise honor—he was named to the Minnesota Grocers Association Hall of Fame.

Stop 4 on my rural county tour: Le Sueur County!

I stopped by Coborn’s, an independent grocer in New Prague. From truck drivers who deliver produce, to local grocers and their employees, to families in need – cuts to food assistance will hurt every part of the food system.

Americans keep getting presidential candidates that aren’t very popular. Does that mean the system is broken?

Our new video looks at the long history of changes to the way we pick presidents — and the reforms that may be coming in the future.

The MGA is pleased to announce Patrick Garofalo has been named incoming president. His wide-ranging expertise, work ethic, and long-term goals align with the MGA’s mission to not only advance industry, but the common good of our great state… https://t.co/WfGC8AWmdZ #MNGrocer
