Jupiter Neurosciences, Inc. (@jupiterneuro) (Nasdaq: $JUNS) has entered into a definitive license agreement with PharmAla Biotech Holdings Inc. for perpetual exclusive U.S. rights to ALA-002. The agreement has a potential value of up to $100 million, including milestone payments and excluding ongoing royalties, expanding Jupiter from a single-program company into a dual clinical-stage CNS developer.

ALA-002 is a patented, non-racemic MDMA formulation carrying FDA Novel Chemical Entity designation, which would provide five years of data exclusivity upon approval. President and Chief Business Officer Alison Silva framed the year ahead: "The next 12 months will be transformative for Jupiter."

I would go further and say that the companies that succeed will be the ones that specialize in one specific area of drug discovery. That’s why PharmAla focused first on understanding just the enantiomers of MDMA, and their complex interaction within behavioural models.

The big wins come once you build a baseline understanding to feed the AI, and build up from there.
