My guest will be the man who goes by the pseudonym Ed Gaffca (Executive Director of the Georgia Fired Football Coaches Association). He created the Fired Coaches of Georgia (@FiredCoaches) viral X/Twitter account last summer. It is now a premier voice and hub for Georgia high school football culture. He calls it "The Unofficial Coaches Office of HS Football." The account blends coaching satire, inside-joke meme humor, and authentic football commentary with fast-breaking news. The account channels the raw, unfiltered conversations coaches normally hold behind closed doors. He covers coaching carousel rumors, job openings, player transfers, playoff projections, and statewide gridiron drama.
It started as a satire account and quickly turned into a legitimate news outlet. It gained major mainstream credibility after breaking major high school coaching news ahead of legacy media outlets. The account broke the story that Josh Niblett was leaving Gainesville HS for Colorado.
In addition to its high-volume X feed, the brand hosts X Spaces, including a Friday night scoreboard show, and the SUN Coaches Podcast.
