The soap you’re using to wash bacteria off your hands might have come with bacteria of its own.
Six hand soaps have been recalled over potential bacterial contamination. Testing of some affected products identified bacteria including Pseudomonas and Serratia — organisms that can cause infections, particularly in people with weakened immune systems or when they enter wounds.

The FDA classified the recall as Class II, meaning serious health consequences are considered unlikely, but temporary or medically reversible problems are possible.
Check the product name and lot number before you toss the bottle — not every bottle of these brands is affected.
