@ummj0 I find it helps a little in the battle against heavy dew which I see a lot of here at my locale. I use dew bands also and the plastic sleeves help to hold warmer air against the tube which I think reduces dewing up.
My photo of the galaxy M106 in the constellation of Canes Venatici produced from data taken over the past 3 years using luminance, red, green, blue broadband and hydrogen alpha narrowband filters through my William Optics 132mm FLT refractor.
Observatory building work in progress for housing a 14 inch Newtonian reflecting telescope. The skeletal 3 metre dome on the ground was having it's skin put on in the form of separate petals.
@astone13004514 I am thinking about growing things like sprouts and kale, any dark green vegetable or at least anything which grows above ground. Most vegetables growing sub surface usually have a raised sugar content and I have to watch the old sugar intake.
@astone13004514 It took me months to clear waist high weeds when I first took my allotment on and now, it's relatively clear and ready to start producing as per my photo.
@proulx_pete Oh no, that could have been so much worse. I'm looking at https://t.co/AVevtk1HOR to help protect my telescope against disaster. Good you recovered the system so quickly.
@GammaVel Lakeside Astro focus motor and controller. Startech powered 7 port USB2 hub and 10 metre active USB2 cable. Lynx Astro USB EQ Direct cable. W & W Astro 4 way dew controller and 3 anti dew bands. Darkframe Astro (Dave Woods), Stellardrive modified Skywatcher NEQ6 Pro mount.
@weatherandsky I would certainly recommend the use of plastic bags in addition to dew bands because of the extra bit of protection given to the electronics etcetera the OTA. Important to keep them away from the camera's cooling airflow though.
More time spent photographing the Fireworks galaxy during a brief clear spell on October 28th from my back garden. This is a luminance, red, green and blue channel combined result. I love to image these deep sky objects because they look so beautiful.
