This deluge of posts fawning over Troy is mind-boggling, making a bang average film sound like Lawrence of Arabia. If Nolanโs The Odyssey is even half as bad as the hystericalโs suggest, it will clear Troy by a country mile. And by the way, completely different stories.
@jondelarroz It has nothing to do with โHollywood decides a masterpiece needs to be fixedโ, just a master filmmaker presenting their filmic vision of The Odyssey. Take it or leave it, but watch the whole film before destroying it.
Better to have an underwhelming trailer and a wonderful film, than a tremendous trailer and poor film. We will see.
I actually enjoyed the trailer, and Iโm willing the film to live up-to expectations.
Either way, itโs a cinema event, and should be welcomed.
@metaplexmovies Hard agree. Ultimately, wait for the movie, then make a judgement. Donโt destroy a huge work based on a trailer alone. The prologue was wonderful.
