Zach Lahn’s earthshaking upset to win Republican nomination for Governor of Iowa! Move over Old Guard Establishment and get behind the fresh new brain of Iowa’s next governor, Zach Lahn. 👊🇺🇸🎉
Thoughts on today's Iowa gov race: The 2A really needed Randy Feenstra's vote on 4/12/24. Unfortunately, he sided with Pelosi and Jefferies against a measure to stop Joe Biden from spying on gun owners and other law abiding Americans. Booo!
Zach Lahn (backed by pro-gun champion former Congressman Steve King) is looking mighty interesting! We'll see how things turn out.
It is self evident that Feenstra has NO chance against Rob Sand. I agree with Steve Deace. Votes that go to those other than Lahn are de facto votes for Rob Sand.
Honored to have just received the endorsement of my longtime friend Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point Action.
Charlie and I first became friends when he was just 17 years old.
Much of our campaign is centered around the issues he and I both cared about for a very long time.
We have the momentum to win this race June 2nd. Grateful for their support to put IOWA FIRST.
Fun story…
More than any other senator, RINO witch Lisa Murkowski killed SAVE Act.
I am constantly hearing from GOP sources how Murkowski screams and rants and raves against voter ID. She threatened to go independent over it. Thune is terrified of her.
But why is Murkowski even a senator in the first place? She lost the Alaska Republican primary in a landslide in 2010 to Tea Party candidate Joe Miller.
But John Cornyn and GOP Senate leaders stepped in to save her…
Cornyn poured millions into a shady write-in campaign that gathered thousands of illegitimate votes to drag Murkowski over the line on Election Day.
Now Cornyn has LOST his seat because Murkowski refused to back the SAVE Act.
Betraying your base will always destroy you in the end.
Just a reminder that GOP Senate Leaders HATES the Republican base more than anything on earth and would rather LOSE their seats than serve the will of the voters.
The closer one is to government services, the more dependent upon them they become. Rural people are more self reliant. LaCorte breaks this down in detail.
Why are cities liberal and rural areas conservative?
I thought I knew the answer, but discovered that it's a new phenomenon. The rural/urban divide occurred in my lifetime.
Here's what happened ...
In order to avoid adversity, the Supreme Court also defended diversity in the form of affirmative action in Gratz v. Bollinger in 2003. Twenty years later the Court corrected Gratz in SFFA v. Harvard, 69 years after Brown and 127 years after Plessy, SCOTUS finally got it right. Justice Thomas was always right. @MarkPaoletta
Justice Clarence Thomas took a blowtorch to the 8 Supreme Court Justices who established the despicable “separate but equal” doctrine in Plessy v. Ferguson in 1896 that sanctioned racial segregation.
Justice Thomas says they acted with “cowardice.”
“It could not have taken my Court sixty years to know that Plessy was a hideous wrong and that racial segregation was grossly incompatible with our colorblind Constitution.
The Justices must have known it all along.
The right thing to do, as Justice Harlan spelled out in his lone dissent at the time, was obvious as it so often is.
What stood in the way was cowardice.
The Justices were afraid of the societal consequences.
They were afraid of coming under political fire.
They were afraid that, if they began to enforce a colorblind Constitution, they would have to address interracial marriage next.
So, for sixty disgraceful years, they made American children like me grow in racial caste system because it was easier to do nothing than do the right thing.”
------
Because the Justices used social science (the infamous doll study) to strike down racial segregation in schools in Brown, rather than on an equal protection clause basis, the Court delayed striking down anti-miscegenation laws until 1967, another disgraceful episode.
THAT is why Justice Thomas has criticized Brown. In his view, the Supreme Court should have struck down those disgraceful laws on equal protection grounds, echoing the Declaration’s promise that all men are created equal.
In Justice Thomas’s view, the Justices hid behind social science out of fear of reaffirming the simple truth that all men are created equal and endowed with certain inalienable rights.
This is why Justice Thomas does not give a damn about judicial precedent. He has personally felt the lash of a barbaric ruling and there was no reason whatsoever to give it any deference. And he believes there are many cases like this.
Justice Thomas’s courage to take as his guiding light the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution without any regard to the barnacles that have attached to these documents is why he is our nation’s greatest Justice.
The speech is titled “Remarks on the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence,” delivered at @UTAustin on April 15, 2026. (link below to full speech)
This is how easy it was to steal the 2020 election by switching Trump votes to Biden with Dominion voting machines.
The machines and the people who run our elections are compromised.
Zach Lahn spent 3 years traveling the world studying what works in education. When Zach was at East High in Sioux City, Iowa was #1 in education. We can be again.
