Man Rescued from Canal in #Leeds

A man was rescued from a canal near Leeds this afternoon.

The man was found thrashing around near a boat at Lemonroyd Lock, off Fleet Lane in #Woodlesford around 14.30.

According to witnesses a number of people managed to pull the man out of the water before emergency services arrived. An ambulance and air ambulance were also called to the scene.

The man was taken to hospital by road ambulance.
