TRAFFIC ALERT - Please note for your morning and afternoon commute that SCDOT will be working on Augusta Road/US-1 at I-20 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Depending on which side of the road they are working on, lane closures will be in effect which may cause congestion.
Why work is done during the day? The paint used has a certain temp range for proper curing. Nighttime temps fall outside of the range. This is an ongoing @SCDOTMidlands project that will continue during the day, night, weekdays and on weekends as temps stay consistently warmer.
