Author (memoir & fiction so far). Ex m/c racer. Talker of nonsense. Insufferable pedant. #SylvieAndMe flatlined. New thriller now out on Amazon. VERY pleased.
My fantasy tale is on hold while I work on a sci-fi story. Problem is that it's turning into a political thriller, too. So, like most of my ideas, this one has gone off on a complete tangent with two stories (so far) in one.
I thought up new ideas for my "Shadow In The Waves" screenplay. I need it to reflect the book but also to work as a movie in its own right. Adding scenes, particularly a pair of funeral bookend scenes will, I hope, improve the story as a whole. In the meantime, buy the book?
What gives with the latest flood of "barely out of teen" follower bots? For your information, "ladies", I am an ugly, unhealthy, happily married 63-year-old bloke from England. I am far more likely to block you than follow you back.
Whinge over.
@melanie_mjk@rosieamber1@DailyPicTheme2 GEN 11 - that most evocative of registration numbers. I think I've seen CCBB more than any other film I've watched combined. My dad took me to Leicester Square in Premier week for my 6th birthday. Best present ever.
@EllieJayWrites I just read your review, Ellie. Thank you so much.
Personally, it's my favourite book so far. I've written longer tales but this one sat in my head for over 40 years, so I'm glad I finally finished writing it. Thanks again.
@EllieJayWrites@Nightwolfwriter@Mythos_books@RevRDracoAuthor Well, that's extremely generous. The one I'm particularly happy with currently is "A Shadow In The Waves". It's the shortest (and the cheapest) but thank you for including me anyway.
@UnimportantO@TheRealJamieKay We used to vote for effective governments, rather than personalities. The PM can be as grey as you like but if it means my prospects are secure, that's good enough for me. Starmer has the same "staff issues" that Major had and we won't realise how good he was until he's gone.
I can always trust my youngest daughter to bring me crashing back down to Earth. When I sent her the link to my song, she replied with, "What’s it for? I’m not sure the purpose of it? Or am I missing the point? Xx"

First came the book.
Then the screenplay.
What next - a song? Oh, all right. If you like folk rock, I distilled "A Shadow In The Waves" into a 4:45 song.
Go on - give it a listen.

Bloody hell - I wrote a song. Not content with turning "A Shadow In The Waves" into a book and a screenplay, I spent last weekend writing lyrics and setting them to music. Feel free to have a listen.

@stephenRB4 I waited until I could (just) a Commodore 64. There was a magazine out at the time that taught an early form of machine code. Get one space wrong and it would all fall apart. Heady days.
