Time to delete my X account. I don't post much, but I used to enjoy the space for educational and political discourse. But X is now largely a collection of political vitriol including constant @elonmusk propaganda posts. We are what we consume and I refuse to consume more. See ya
If we don't hurry up and play ball, we ensure that the learning in our classes becomes exponentially irrelevant to our students' lives.
We owe it to them to engage with this technology and to figure out how it fits into #OntEd learning and spaces.
Employers: we support your mental and physical well-being.
Also employers: drive during a snow storm to sit in an empty building to mark work that you could have done from home.
Show me. Don't tell me.
@RobinMartinPC@ONThealth Here's a bold, innovative, creative solution: call a press conference, announce to everyone that you and the other @fordnation failures are an embarrassment, and resign. Either you're too incompetent to see what's going on in this province or too corrupt. Either way, just go.
@SylviaJonesMPP@RobinMartinPC@HBKidsHospital@Hanigsberg Unless @RobinMartinPC apologized for her cold, childish outburst denying a healthcare crisis,no one cares about your photo-ops. And to everyone else in the photos: you realize these two dofo sycophants are using you to repair their damaged image, right? https://t.co/ESN8jvDenX
@RobinMartinPC@ONgov@Ornge "Continued and timely access to emergency healthcare"? You have no shame. I dare you to walk up to anyone needing an ER right now and asking them what they think of that statement.
@RobinMartinPC Not sure you're the endorsement businesses are looking for. Your brand is beyond tarnished. Do your job and work towards fixing and funding public healthcare or resign.

@ColinDMello The Ford gov will lose the appeal but that will be years from now, and will end up costing taxpayers more as a result of retroactive payments. @fordnation is gambling that the public doesn't know or care. Is he right?
@Sflecce@YRDSB@nadeem_mahmood@OSTAAECO Concerned about mental health and catching up? Interesting since you'd have every student in Ontario learn remotely as a cost-saving measure. Here's some data to help get that conversation going: https://t.co/x3r9ay6DEf
@Sflecce@fordnation I have a front row seat to education workers working longer and harder than ever to try to patch holes in the ship your gov is actively trying to sink. Your legacy will be the destruction of public ed, and just how hard you worked to make sure the public didn't notice.
i've been conducting my dissertation interviews with black girls in middle school. one question i ask is where do they feel the most like they belong when at school. so many girls have mentioned the library, so i went to check it out with one participant.
Talk about timing. In September, prominent developer Michael Rice paid $80M for land that’s been protected for almost two decades.
Weeks later, Doug Ford announced changes to the Greenbelt. Rice’s land was suddenly set to open up for housing. https://t.co/ETRxO1oL9A
Ontario hospitals ran up 6 million agency nursing hours, paying premiums of 2x & more the regular hourly rate in 2020-21– the equivalent cost of 7,000 full-time nursing positions. Decades of hospital management exploiting nurses & treating them as disposable brought us to this.
In education, you get what you pay for.
If you want a world class education system (Canada is typically around 8th btw) then you need to fund it. See Finland. Education workers are provided resources, funding, and most importantly respect. The results tell all.
