A great moment for Zimbabwe's athletics team last night, winning gold in Accra in the men's 4x400m relay, only the second time ever for Zim to take gold at the African Athletics Championships after winning gold in the same event in Brazzaville in 2004.

An entertaining derby, two very debatable penalties, but CAPS deserved their 2-1 win over Dynamos. The biggest crowd I’ve seen at Rufaro Stadium in years. Ishmael Wadi outstanding, scoring CAPS' opener. Dynamos with Kasondo late penalty, Kudzai Chigwida with winner from the spot.

Sensational! The Zimbabwe 4x400m men’s relay team has qualified for next year’s World Championships, after a brilliant run at the World Relays in Botswana. Dennis Hove, Leeford Zuze, Gerren Muwishi and Thandazani Ndlovu shattered the national record, running 2:59.01 in the heats.

A goalless draw between Scottland and Dynamos but a good game with a big crowd for a midweek match. Scottland had the best of the possession and the chances, Dynamos did well to grind out a draw. Knowledge Musona a joy to watch for Scottland.

It wasn’t pretty this time, but the Warriors got the job done with an 88th-minute own goal resulting from sub Junior Zindoga’s cross in the final of the Mukuru Four Nations Tournament, against a Zambia side with mostly U23 players.

Zimbabwe's Paralympic legend Elliot Mujaji has completed his 16-day walk from Bulawayo to Harare, with six others, with the aim of raising $1m to build a sports complex in Zvishavane. More details on Facebook page "Elliot Mujaji Walk of Hope".
