New paper from our group, presenting new findings by Zhurong rover of Mars Tianwen-1 mission.
Zhurong reveals recent aqueous activities in Utopia Planitia, Mars https://t.co/KPa8IFFOuZ
Check out our recent paper on the in situ detection of lunar water by Chang'E-5! We found the regolith has ~120 ppm H2O/OH mostly from solar wind implantation, and the rock has an elevated water content with some possibly from the lunar interior. https://t.co/rIqQtsZYxf
Check out our group's recent work on the geologic context study for Tianwen-1 landing area. Zhurong rover is very heathy, and we'll start to analyze the data collected by the rover soon!

Congratulations to CNSA’s #Tianwen1 team for the successful landing of China’s first Mars exploration rover, #Zhurong! Together with the global science community, I look forward to the important contributions this mission will make to humanity’s understanding of the Red Planet.
Landing tomorrow! Zhurong (Tianwen-1) rover will attempt to land on Mars at UTC May 14 11:00PM. Save the time and check the latest information. Wish me good luck and will keep you updated. Here is the landing animation for your reference. (from: https://t.co/JEjZVUjSSg)
The video contains very cool Chang'E-5 footage during sample acquisition. The pefect left from "bear pawprints" after the acquisition can be seen starting from 45s. Check it out! Sorry there is no english subtitles in the video.
We are seeking a senior postdoctoral scholar for the prestigious Urey Fellowship, named for the late cosmochemist, Dr. Harold Urey. Help us spread the word! https://t.co/L2nic4DCFY
Check out my graduate student Zhenghao Liu's latest paper on fluvial activity and climate on early Mars now in press on EPSL. @edwinkite

Now that the team and I have achieved a series of “firsts” since my landing on the Red Planet, join a discussion on Friday, March 5, at 12:30 pm PT (3:30 pm ET/2030 UTC) focused on those big moments and get a look at what comes next as I start roving. https://t.co/XHWGLYRGw4
Back to Twitter - Day 1 😀
Tianwen-1 just sent back some beautiful images of Mars. The two images below were collected from the high resolution camera at a 330-350 km orbit, with a spatial resolution of ~0.7 m.
