As someone that grew up in mid-Missouri in the 80s and 90s, I’m pretty sure I never knew what SLU was until someone from my high school committed to go there.
The only schedule release I care about is when the kid’s hockey coach stands in the lobby at the rink, hands me a sheet of paper, and my winter travel plans are set for Des Moines, Omaha, and wherever else i hope there isn’t a blizzard.
If your team is going to regularly have the potential for 7-9 home games a year - and those regular season games won’t have as much juice as before - a neutral site game now has more intrigue.
No bowl games. More of the 5 rounds of expanded CFP games on campus. Y’all, regular season neutral site games are more fun than before. Great change of pace.
At one time I thought if there was ever a downtown K, and we moved downtown, I’d get partial season tickets.
At this point in my sports fan journey, I’m more likely to apply to be an usher.
