Create a tracking document to have everything in one place. As a starting point, general information to keep track of includes: name of college, coach's name & contract info, date of initial communication, date of coach's response, & date of highlight video/athletic profile sent
Be coachable: Show a willingness to learn and improve. Listen to the coaches’ feedback and apply it to your game. College Coaches appreciate & value highly athletes who are open to instruction and show a strong work ethic.
There are many different opportunities offered at the D II and III levels. When being recruited, you should look at what each school you are interested in has to offer and compare them. This allows you to focus on more than just athletics.
Brevity is important to strive for when creating & sending highlight videos. College coaches are typically expert multi-taskers, so time is always of the essence. They want to get all the pertinent details in a concise manner, which means about 3 to 5minutes for highlight videos.

Write to your preferred college coaches as much as courtesy and reason allow or until the college coach has signaled to you that there isn’t a spot for you on their program. Consistent out reach on your part, is hugely important.
Consider the financial costs & types of scholarships offered at each college on your list. Take time to research the academic & athletic profiles of the schools on your list in depth. Consult with your coach & guidance counselor to make sure your list of your potential schools
