@sola_chad They were all located on a major trade route that went in a circle. And seven is a meaningful number in Revelation. And all the other churches read it. The book of Revelation was well lived and copied a bunch.
@ThoughtfulSaint William Lane Craig has written on this extensively. There’s an error in modal logic in your first point. Just b/c God knows it will happen doesn’t mean you must do it. If you’re watching a recording of a hockey game you know the outcome but that doesn’t cause the players to score
@itsyaboiflake1 @jaredadairbell The refutations I’ve read are a potpourri of misdirection and arguement from silence such as those in this thread. But if you want to believe in elephants in America go for it!
A great place to start in terms of intellectual honesty is American Crucifixion by Alex Beam.
@itsyaboiflake1 @jaredadairbell I will ask it again: give me a reference where JS admitted copying word for word from his KJV Bible in the light and not reading magic stones in the dark.
@itsyaboiflake1 @jaredadairbell Many scholars recognize the authenticity of biblical books with historical, linguistic and textual evidence without joining a synagogue or church.
