Chet being a part of a larger package for Giannis is going to be a big topic.
But I wonder if Chet for AD (with the Thunder not having to give up any picks) isn’t a more likely trade…
@hgssprime I’m kinda mixed on it. Don’t want the card show atmosphere creeping further into tournament spaces, but I still enjoyed looking through the plushies and sleeves some vendors bring over from Japan.
There’s a deck that made top 4 at a regional that costs less than my Chipotle order. The only money barrier in Pokemon is in travel expenses and registration fees, not the secondary market for base rarity singles.
the current state of TCGs:
YuGiOh is unplayable going second due to power creep
MTG is the Fortnite of card games with their endless cross-overs
& Pokémon's second hand market and rampant scalping have priced children out of the game
Chaotic can't come soon enough 🙏😭
@FRIStwits@TrinityNovaVT It’s extremely rare for Pokemon to ban cards in Standard format. Last two times it happened were:
2020: Bellelba & Brycen-Man, Mismagius UNB
2015: Lysandre’s Trump Card
It’s wild how quickly we went from “OKC is wasting SGA’s career, he needs to request a trade” to “SGA is an unwatchable flopper/foul baiter/free throw merchant.”
Pokemon Pop-Tarts are already being scalped after returning for the first time in 25 years
The Target-exclusive boxes cost $2.89, but sold eBay listings show some going for up to $25, not including shipping
@swannoise@nicole_crouty Promotion from trusted players and product quality. Dragon Shield’s quality was slipping around the time DuelSpec and FCBC were starting. You couldn’t trust Dragon Shields out of a new box and most DQs for marked cards involved a bad batch.
@Ruzvian@Camalange SEC = Secret (signed)
OUR = Oshi Ultra Rare (Oshi holomem card)
UR = Ultra Rare
These are case hits, one box in a given case is going to have one of those three. One other box in the case will have a UR, but once a SEC or OUR is pulled it’s a dead case.
