@nypost Baseball, the ball is called a strike if any part of the ball passes through any part of the strike zone while crossing the front edge of home plate. The ball does NOT have to go through the middle of the zone.
If even a small portion of the ball clips the zone, it is a strike.
@BaseballQuotes1 That doesn’t show where the ball crossed the plate, that only shows where the catcher caught the ball! The umpire missed numerous calls all night long! Don’t focus on the one that ended the game! DR had chances and could not cash them in! Game Over
@YahooSports Stop focusing on where the catcher caught the ball, where did the ball cross the front of the plate? Why isnt anyone talking about DR horrendous base running! Tatis and Wells not running when they should have!
@RGIII Strike, ⚾ Important: The ball is judged where it crosses the front of home plate, not where the catcher catches it. Besides is this really the reason DR lost? How bout their terrible base running, Tatis holding at second, Wells holding at 3rd! Come on man!!
@DavidFurones_ Everyone is focused on the balls and strikes, why did Tatis hold at second , why did Wells hold at third? Horrible base running killed them not the low strike call!!
