Alex Starcher 2025 got his first offer from Penn State Greater Allegheny today. Proud of his work and humbled for this opportunity. Future is bright. Keep Christ in the center of your decisions and follow your dreams.
@PeteThamel@OllyReedSports So you’re basically screwing the 2026 high school seniors by letting college seniors that have played 4 years get another year. That’s what has been told to every kid I know in the 2026 class is that colleges aren’t recruiting high school kids. I see a lawsuit on the horizon.
I’m super thankful for this opportunity and I’m very excited for what’s to come. Thank you to all my coaches, family, friends, physical therapists, and everyone else who has supported me throughout this journey because I couldn’t have done it without you.
In a battle against Boyd County, Alex Starcher(@AlexStarche30) had a monster shooting performance that swung the tone of the game. Known for his versatility, this time the spotlight focused squarely on his outside touch, and Boyd County simply could not cool him off from beyond the arc.
Alex exploded for 31 points while raining in a blistering 7-9 shots from three, that's jaw-dropping efficiency. The arc became his playground. Each make stretched the floor wider and tightened the pressure on every closeout. It was not forced, but confident, controlled, and on time.
Even with the scoring surge coming from deep, he did not disappear in other areas. He battled for 4 rebounds and dropped 3 dimes, showing that his impact was not limited to one dimension. When the defense shifted toward him, he stayed composed and made the right play. When space appeared, he capitalized.
This performance was not about volume, but accuracy and momentum. It was about a shooter finding rhythm in a big matchup and riding it with poise. Against Boyd County, Alex’s versatility was still present, but his shooting was the headline, and it proved to be the difference maker.

Highlights of @AlexStarche30 vs Ashland from this weekend’s Pikeville Invitational Tournament. Finished with 25pts, about 12 rebounds, and 7-8 assists (rebounds and assists maybe off cause I was counting those in my head).
A lot of places, players, can go to do a post grad year! A ton of great options! Some more expensive than others! We don’t concern ourselves with what other programs offer and do! I just know what we offer and do!
Blessed to receive my first offer from Kentucky Christian University after a great workout and visit!
Big thanks to Coach Pack and the KCU staff for the opportunity, and to the Expression Prep coaches and staff for always pushing me.
