@RoxyStJohn @itsPaulAi I played around a bit with Bing chat and struggled to get good and easily accessible peer reviewed sources. I think you would be better off using something like @scite or @ConsensusNLP. These will help you find papers directly addressing the topics you’re interested in.

@airesearchtools @OpenAI Here's the solution: Don't use Web Browsing to summarize papers. The AskYourPDF plugin works best of all the plugins I have tried.

Use Web Browsing to verify papers exist. For example, get a lit review from GPT-4, then ask the Web Browser to verify the papers in Google Scholar.

@Keegan0604 @SeoToddler @itsPaulAi Here's a post I did on it. I asked GPT-4 for some papers on venture capital, then copied one of them into the Web Browsing model and asked it to search Google Scholar for the paper. Note, it was quite slow!

I got the Web Browsing Beta model today and it was able to search google scholar and identify fake papers from GPT-4's output

@itsPaulAi I just got the Web Browsing model today. It was able to search Google Scholar and discovered which papers GPT-4 thought were real but were not. However, it was way slower than just copying the title into Google myself.

GPT-4 definitely gives me made up papers sometimes, but Bard has been much worse
