Really disappointed in @howardbrownhc. They’re building a huge new facility, and work with some of the most vulnerable populations in Chicago, but they can’t bargain in good faith with their most valuable assets. https://t.co/EtBTPPjBbs
I might not be @nyguild anymore, but I’m hoping my friends and colleagues will amplify what’s going on at Howard Brown in Chicago. @susandecarava@lainnafader ❤️ https://t.co/EtBTPPjBbs
Therapy is incredible and everyone should do it! If you leave a session where you leave feeling angry at the therapist, KEEP GOING—it usually means you’re on the verge of a big change!
Amazing thread that’s worth a read. As a former therapist (never marriage/couples/fam therapy tho), it was so rewarding when a client would do the hard work to get to the place where they understood conflict could be (and often was) a good thing 1/2
It takes time, vulnerability, and trust for clients to get to that spot with a therapist, but shows incredible growth. When we talked about what therapy could look like, I mentioned there would probably be times where they would get angry w/ me, and that was good! 2/3 (oops)
@ianbonaparte I’m shocked that I live in an age where LaGuardia is better than JFK. All the leaky roofs, long TSA lines, and Ruby Tuesday’s with plastic cutlery are a thing of the past. Granted, you have to walk about six miles before you actually get to your gate!
Teamsters 804 stands in solidarity with workers at @nytimes. Thank you @804_local for always standing with workers and respecting our picket line!
“We are responsible for the logistics operations that keep the New York Times and 620 Eight Avenue operating and thriving.”
This is a sad day for @nytimes. This company pledged $150 million in stock buybacks this year, but it’s offering staff what amounts to a pay cut, during record inflation in the most expensive city in the world. I love the Times and wish it loved me back.
