The U.S.–Canada tariff fight started, Trump says, because Canada has been "unfairly discriminating" against U.S. exports of cars, alcohol, and dairy, and points to Canadian retaliatory tariffs that cut into American car and alcohol sales there. He's using a Depression-era trade law (Section 338) that lets him act without a formal investigation or time limit.

Under the USMCA deal Trump himself signed in his first term, Canada agreed to let U.S. dairy in tariff-free up to a set quota — but anything above that quota faces steep tariffs (245% on cheese, ~300% on butter). Trump points to that as proof Canada shuts out American farmers. The catch: U.S. dairy exporters have never actually filled that quota, so those headline rates are rarely if ever paid in practice — which is why fact-checkers call the "270% tariff" talking point technically true but misleading. Separately, several Canadian provinces pulled American wine and whiskey off liquor-store shelves in 2025 — but that was retaliation for Trump's earlier tariffs, not something that predated them.

If anything, our corrupt media should be pointing out that Trump actually helped US dairy in his first term.

That's not the story, NBC. The divide in the nation is between those that "support Lindsay" by blaming men (in general) and her husband (specifically) and those that see her for what she is, a cold blooded killer that strangled her three children one by one. Maybe write about how we need to evaluate if other women on psychotic medications need to have their children removed or monitored.
