The Texas Rangers are the ONLY MLB team not acknowledging “Pride Month.”

The Rangers are again not hosting an LGBT night event.

Instead, on June 18, they will be hosting a Faith and Family Night.

According to their website, the event will feature “personal testimonies from Rangers players Wyatt Langford, Josh Jung, Cody Bradford, Jacob Latz, Jalen Beeks, and others, sharing how faith impacts their lives both on and off the field.”

My 4 year old boy roped my wife into buying him his own hammer at the farm store yesterday.

This evening I walked outside to him hammering my deck screws into a block of wood in the backyard (I bought a bucket of 1000 years ago and have no current plans for them).

My natural reaction is to tell him that those cost money so we shouldn’t waste them (a true statement and a lesson we’ll have to learn someday), but then I caught myself.

How proud would I be in a few years to have a boy under the age of 10 who can hammer a nail with a higher level of skill than most men these days? How about if my 4 year old could do that?

Well, that’s an easy question to answer.

So instead I took his picture and told him how cool he was.

He finished the day with 21 screws hammered home in that stump. He started and finished every one himself, and he only bent and broke 1 along the way.

Any chance you get to foster a love for hard work and masculine skills in your boys, take it.

$3.87 worth of screws will be nothing in comparison to a capable man to carry on your name.

Men rarely (maybe never) turnout tough by default. They have to be made that way.

We’re in the beginning of those tempering years with this guy right now. He turned 4 a week ago, and has all the raw material needed to be a savage someday. If I allow him to be coddled right now though, that day will never come.

This afternoon he decided (against my warning) to hit the biggest rock gap at our local bike park. It went about how you’d expect (hence the warning). Complete yard sale. He went over the bars, bounced his face and chest off the ground, and gave himself a good scare.

In less than 2 minutes he was back on the bike to try a smaller feature with a little guiding hand and tears still on his face. It wasn’t the only good fall he took, but he’s starting to figure out that I enjoy the heck out of watching him dust himself off and get back on.

He may not be the best at anything he ever does (though my biased opinion forecasts otherwise), but dang if he won’t be tough. That’s something we’re going to make sure of.

American Lauren Bullis (40) was walking her dog in Atlanta when Olaolukitan Adon Abel shot her in the face multiple times then decided he needed to stab her corpse repeatedly.

After shooting & stabbing her he attempted to rape her corpse but residents of the area came out to investigate the gunshots and screams they heard causing the savage to flee.

Before this murder and attempted rape, he also shot at least two other Americans, killing one.

For some reason, he was free to walk the streets after being charged with sexual battery on 4 separate women in April 2025. I wonder who that judge was?
