I’ve been made into an animation for a work thing and the voiceover is me geeking out over my all-time favourite film and this is honestly the highlight of my life to date
Rewatching The Comeback with my parents. Halfway through Season 2, my dad turns around and says “This is desperate, why’s she doing all this? She must be mad.” And at that point I found out my dad thought it was a documentary about Lisa Kudrow trying to revive her career 🥲💀
The Christophers. A film by Steven Soderbergh. In cinemas 15 May.
Join stars Ian McKellen, James Corden and Jessica Gunning at Picturehouse Central for the premiere on Tuesday 21 April - or catch a live broadcast of the post-film Q&A at your local Picturehouse.
@myeoghanprivatx @moviegoery Also the character masssssively helped her public image - all of a sudden she went from being perceived as an “ice queen” by the general public/casual viewer, to a sympathetic, warm, relatable human being (especially for women)
@myeoghanprivatx Truly the unsung achievement of the film. Then again, I’d argue the whole thing is operating on elite level ‘90s time capsule brilliance - the editing, soundtrack/score, costumes, production design, hair and makeup. Nicole is ofc the iconic attraction, but the overall film is 💯
@myeoghanprivatx Admittedly she is who I would consider the greatest (currently living) actress. Some recs in case helpful (and ofc only if you haven’t seen!):
Blow-Up
The Devils
Julia
The Bostonians
Wetherby
Prick Up Your Ears
Howards End
Coriolanus
@myeoghanprivatx And for my 2 cents:
To Die For*
Eyes Wide Shut*
Moulin Rouge!
The Others
The Hours
Dogville
Birth*
Margot at the Wedding
Rabbit Hole
The Paperboy*
Lion
The Killing of a Sacred Deer
Destroyer
The Northman
Babygirl*
@myeoghanprivatx I love the love you have for The Northman! I remember when we spoke for your podcast you hadn’t seen it yet, so this heartens me to see you rate it so highly among her recent turns 🫶🏼

@myeoghanprivatx YES! And seeing her get botox on screen, after every fucking Daily Mail article over the past 20 years - simply iconic and a big fuck you to everyone. I genuinely think that’s one of the boldest, most thrilling moments of hers ever on screen.
