The Oconee County Board of Education will hold a joint meeting with the Board of Commissioners at 4 p.m. and its July regular session at 6 p.m. on Monday at the Instructional Support Center. #OconeeFamily
Congrats to the Oconee County High boys athletic program on capturing the Class AAA Directors Cup for the 2025-26 school year, per the Georgia Athletic Directors Association.
The Warriors rolled up 632 points to outdistance Jefferson’s 624 and Calhoun’s 601. Oconee County finished first on the strength of state championships in cross country and track & field, along with top-10 finishes in football, baseball, soccer, tennis, golf, and wrestling.
In addition, the North Oconee High girls finished second in Class AAAA, the Oconee County High girls placed third in Class AAA, and the North Oconee High boys came in fourth in Class AAAA.

Oconee County Schools will welcome students and families back to campuses on Thursday, July 30, for Meet the Teacher, providing an opportunity to say hello to teachers, visit classrooms, and prepare for the start of the 2026-27 school year. The boys basketball, flag football, and football camps wrapped up today, and we could not be prouder of all the young athletes who participated. Each day, the court and fields were buzzing with energy, hard work, and fun.
Camps now will take a break until mid-July. Openings remain for those final sessions at Oconee County and North Oconee, but you need to act fast as the spaces won't last long.

✅ Approved the purchase and installation of 32 Newline Interactive Panels for classrooms

✅ Approved its 2026-27 meeting calendar
✅ Approved out-of-state travel requests for OCHS, OCMS, and NOHS student groups

The jam-packed youth athletic camp schedule got underway this week with girls basketball at North Oconee.
June and July will be filled with additional offerings from Oconee County and North Oconee programs, providing opportunities for #OconeeFamily students of all ages to stay active, learn from coaches and players, and have fun throughout the summer.

Our students got an early jump on summer fun during field days across the district in the final weeks of school. From water slides and obstacle courses to relay races, bubbles, climbing walls, and plenty of smiles, it was a great way to celebrate another successful year together.
