@gameofmikey Did later seasons of Game of Thrones just break people’s brains to the point where any episode that doesn’t have people getting killed is just boring filler now?
@SavageFangirl95@MarkIsAPeasant@TwasBrillig1@quinnthegm Maybe you should stop wasting your time watching it if that’s how you feel. I certainly wouldn’t spend 6 years of my life to watching a show I hate and bitching about it online. Sounds pretty pathetic to me!
@MarkIsAPeasant@TwasBrillig1@quinnthegm Every episode in this season has been great and so were most of the ones last season so yeah he was quite wrong actually
HotD s3e3 Rhaenyra Triumphant does feel exactly like a Cersei chapter in tone, perspective, etc. but also in that it'll be a rich exploration of a complex character who is failing in a way I find sympathetic and half the audience will be like "did you see she was on her period"
Another stellar episode. It kind of gave AFFC Cersei vibes for me. In many ways being locked into Rhaenyra’s pov for all of that was more stressful to watch than any battle scene could be
EMMY D’Arcy strikes again. Unbelievable work from them this season.
@theweirdinggay Fabien? Or someone else? 👀
I don’t pay a lot of close attention but I know I generally love it whenever I see Emma and Olivia talk about their characters at least.
With this particular scene I wouldn’t be surprised if it was just meant to remind the general audience of what was happening at the end of season 2 since it’s been so long. I wonder if it would have even been there if this had been the actual finale like it was intended to be.
Yeah, one of my only real complaints about the show is that occasionally the dialogue can be a bit clunky and heavy-handed. I understand a lot of the audience is eager to interpret everything on this show in bad faith, but I don’t think the writers should be catering to them.
Did anyone else feel like the dialogue in the courtyard with Helaena and Alicent felt a bit… forced? It kind of felt like they were spoon feeding a narrative that was already established, we didn’t need the characters saying it out loud
you know what? they could've at least had otto say alicent's iconic line from the books: "the rats play when the cat is gone, but my grandson will return with fire and blood." but condal is the dumbest dumb
