Tonight was Borough Council Member @danhirsch518’s last meeting but anyone who knows Dan knows that he will just find another way to serve his community.
When Dan was first appointed to the Council in January 2019, he filled a vacancy but importantly, it was not a position he sought. Rather, a group of us who were familiar with his extraordinary record of volunteer service to the Borough drafted Dan to join the ranks. And when I first approached him about the idea, the only question he asked me was, “Do you think that I could be helpful?”
Dan has been more helpful than we could have ever imagined. He was an intergral part of so much of what we have accomplished in Metuchen over these last five years. Dan was always there to impart his steady hand, extraordinary knowledge and personal assistance in any number of areas. But perhaps most significantly, his financial background and expertise was especially helpful during every discussion related to financial matters.
You will be missed, Dan, but we know you won’t be far because you will continue to help this community in every way you possibly can, just as you always do.
Hey everyone, thank you for your support. I’ve been released from jail. I am not the first Georgian to be arrested for fighting voter suppression. I’d love to say I’m the last, but we know that isn’t true. #SB202
@DorinKfir I think initating a dialogue is the hardest part of breaching the gap. One that happens people will realize how similar, not different they all are
