Following the council elections, our 6 Lib Dem Borough Councillors have retained their seats despite substantial ward boundary changes, with handsome majorities in Chells Ward and Manor Ward. We wish to thank voters for putting their trust in us to represent them on SBC.

Stevenage Lib Dems recently held a garden party for Lisa Nash, their parliamentary candidate.

A lecturer in maternity care with an NHS background, she's been a Nth Herts Cllr since 2018. At the last general election in 2019, she doubled the party’s vote.

Lib Dem Cllr, Graham Snell, was presented with an award recognising 25 years service to Stevenage by Mayor, Myla Arceno, on Wednesday 19th.

Cllr Snell was first elected a councillor in 1998 in Mobbsbury Ward. After boundary changes, he was re-elected a further 6 times for Manor.

Thanks for everyone who organised and attended Stevenage Lib Dems stand at Stevenage Day 2023. Despite the heat, the day went very well with a tombola with lots of prizes, a visual poll to spark conversations with the public and home baked cakes that were very well received!

He's concerned about pressure new developments will put on local roads, healthcare and schools and aims to improve cycling and walking.

Robin Parker will be standing again in Manor Ward. A resident since 1961, he's held Manor almost continuously since first elected in 1982. Recently he's had 11 defibrillators installed and floral displays created Chells and Manor. Robin is also County Cllr for Chells Division.

As the 4th May elections draw closer, residents of Chells are displaying strong support for local Councillor Stephen Booth.

Stephen's team have talked to hundreds of people recently and the majority have said they will probably or definitely vote Liberal Democrat this election.
