@greateranglia Thanks Emily…so is NCP permitted in your contract to charge an admin fee despite evidence of payment? And state ‘there is now no route to appeal’? Please do forward this to them on my behalf, as I doubt I will get an answer?
Hi @greateranglia do you own/licence out the Cambridge North car park? If so, your provider is trying to charge £20 despite payment evidence…for their administration fee. Case Ref: 230057. Am keen to know if that’s acceptable practice in your contract?
@sainsburys Done this, didn’t work. Filled out 3 contact forms for help, 3 weeks and multiple bot contacts and still can’t order. You have our details on this thread and DM. Can a human sort it out?
@sainsburys our online shop app is frozen. We can’t empty basket and re-order. 2 attempts to resolve in past weeks have had promises to fix and call back but nothing. Can you please sort? Happy to DM details
@sainsburys I’ve DM our issue but now stuck in the same death loop with a bot as before. Our ordering app is broken. We can’t order….the basket is frozen. You have our address. Can you fix? The bot clearly can’t.
@CSkidmoreUK @ChiefExecCCC Very much hoping EPC reform will include a roadmap toward in-use performance with new Government!? Thoughts on a warm homes plan that ‘cuts bills’ in reality ..not in theory here https://t.co/cSG4W0mSwP
@CSkidmoreUK @ChiefExecCCC 2023 CCC ask of BEIS / DLUHC was a timetable to adopt in-use performance in EPC. We would love to see it. Challenge industry - ‘EPC will adopt any technologies meeting x accuracy criteria within 6 months of accuracy verification’. BEIS are trying, but no urgency
🏠 The UK has 29 million homes 🏠 These homes account for 16% of the UK’s carbon dioxide emissions. We’re calling on Government to make it easier for people to make their homes greener by reducing emissions.

Curious whether this (if confirmed) also means abandonment of the Chancellor’s goal to reduce total UK energy demand by 15% by 2030.
The taskforce was a collection of serious figures from across commercial and finance sectors to advise on that goal.

Will the UK’s new home energy-performance standard offer certainty or a lottery?

Most homes need 6-8kW on a cold day. The average heat pump size is 10kW.
The cost of oversizing is:
Financial: £1,381 (NB this is at 0% VAT)
Physical: the outside unit is twice as big
Ongoing: the heat pump will cycle and cost more to run

Really great short thread. An excellent argument for policy that enables companies to figure out what consumers actually want, rather than what would be handy for achieving a modelled outcome.
So, TL;DR on retrofit:
1. align incentives
2. easy quality assurance AFTER retrofit measures to drive up standards and improve consumer confidence
3. local planning
4. better controls
Job done.
A ‘wide ranging review’ of the UK Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is to kick off imminently. Much needed, but what needs to happen?
First up – accept a single core principle: we now live in a ‘sensed world’.

@guynewey Publish a transition timetable for EPC to build in on-site measured efficiency. Then follow it. Essential to de-risk home retrofit and heat electrification (In new build and existing homes). Low hassle but high reward
