Marriage in the form it's meant to be consists of the man furthering and protecting the woman's best interests, and the woman furthering and protecting the man's best interests. Whatever she needs, he sets about to ensuring she has it - whatever he needs, she sets about to ensuring he has it. They serve one another. They are of one mind. This doesn't mean there can't or won't be occasional disagreements, to work on a problem is often to elicit a degree of friction - but they fundamentally do not view each other as opposed or even separate, but as a shared, singular whole. You are not enemies. There must be absolute trust and alignment. The more you diverge from this, the more you will suffer.
One of the deepest lessons of you adopt during your dating phase is that in marriage, responsibilities, visions and goals intentionally moves you from “I/me” to “we/us”
The sole purpose of marriage is to have a life that transcends you with a person who you truly see as an extension of you and vice versa.
It’s in seeing your wife as an extension of you that informs your decision to do chores in the house just because her getting more rest is a priority for you. Your wife’s exhaustion matters to you because in a real sense, her wellbeing has become your own wellbeing.
It’s in seeing your husband as an extension of yourself that your body itches you when you see the amount of pressure he’s having to deal with and has been socially prescribed to endure by himself. No wife with love in heart will turn a blind eye or remain completely comfortable while her husband is struggling with a burden she could help lighten.
And that is why selfishness and prolonged anger should have less and less room in a healthy marriage.
Because truthfully, how long can you as a reasonable human being stay angry at yourself?!
How long can you as a rational human being, be watching yourself suffer when you have some money kept somewhere?!
The more you skew your marriage to look like a place of I do this vs you do this, the more you create needless tension and encourage selfishness.
Let consideration and sacrifice one to one be the anchor of your love life!!! As you’re being sacrificed for, be sure you’re making attempts to sacrifice for your spouse, not because you’re counting scores, but because you truly want your presence to be felt. And yes, sometimes you will give more, other times your spouse will give more. There will be seasons when one person is stronger and the other needs to be carried and that’s completely fine too. The goal is not always to give exactly the same thing at exactly the same time but to keep choosing and happily sacrificing for one another.
That’s why you shouldn’t take ill informed advice like:
Provision is a man’s shield…
A man shouldn’t do chores…
Women do not love men…
They are all axioms rooted in selfishness, and not the truth. Find a human being whose value for you and whose love for you transcends strict adherence to “rules” which lead you both no where. Find someone who can understand that sometimes love requires flexibility, humility, service, patience and sacrifice. And just as importantly, be that person too.
A husband can provide and still wash the dishes. A wife can be deeply feminine and still be financially responsible to the family. A man can be “man enough” to provide and humble enough to serve. A woman can receive care and still be someone who gives generously.
Because ultimately, the greatest question in marriage is not “What am I supposed to get from you?” It is “How can I make your life better because I am in it?”
When both people begin asking that question, marriage stops feeling like a negotiation between two individuals and starts becoming what it was always meant to be ie a partnership where two people willingly carry each other through life.
Never forget that to love is to give and receive love!!!
“Her husband refused to go to church with her.”👇
-She didn’t scream.
-She didn’t insult him.
-She didn’t threaten divorce.
She simply sat down with him and calmly explained why it hurt her that he wouldn’t attend church with her. 🥰
And honestly? That level of emotional maturity is beautiful. You can disagree with your partner without disrespecting them.
You can express disappointment without turning the house into a battlefield. You can tell your spouse, “This hurt me,” without making them your enemy.
Some people don’t need a louder voice. They need better communication.
Ladies and gentlemen, learn this: Being calm doesn’t make your message weak.
Sometimes, the most powerful way to address your partner is with enough love and self-control to make them actually listen.
Peaceful communication is a relationship superpower. ❤️ https://t.co/0GVyZAYa2B

Peller’s Wedding Guests: Foreign Espionage And African Entertainment
When influencers and "foreign guests" collide, as is the case here, we are not watching a wedding but a social engineering operation
It is very clear here that the rise of our internet sensations is often engineered. When foreign money starts flowing into our digital spaces, it is time to start asking who is really behind the screen and what they’re buying with those "gifts." It’s time for Africans to stop being spectators to our own subversion.
as you go through life and stack on more years you will come across younger dudes who believe they can do anything, be anything, achieve everything
the same way you did when you were younger, before things went wrong, before terrible things happened to you
it’s important to realize THEY are right, and so were you
it’s important to let that energy rub off on you and shape you into your old self instead of trying to lecture them into mellowing out, about the lessons life will teach them, about how they’ll grow out of it. never try to “save” them from disappointment, let them make you forget your own
your childlike creativity purity and honesty must never be crowded by your grown thoughts (ye)
youth is law, you must preserve your fire. if it ever begins to dampen do not pour water on another’s flame but allow it to reignite yours
never ever “grow up”
you will never buy a $100m yacht just by locking in. sure, you may buy a ferrari, can buy the lambo, you'll buy a rolex if you lock in and work extremely harder
but if we're talking about fuck you money, if we're talking about monaco money, if we're talking about a $100m yacht, locking in is not enough. you need something else. you need an edge, you need to cheat, emphasis on cheating, you need to be ruthless, crazily obsessed, you need to steal somebody else's great idea.
if you don't believe me, just look at mark zuckerberg. facebook was not his idea, he stole it.
instagram was not his idea, he just bought it. whatsapp was also not his idea, he just bought it.. his only true idea was the metaverse, which he spent $80b on and it flopped so genuinely, most times you don't need more hard work.
you just need an advantage that is so disproportionately unfair and ruthless. learn something 👍
