@zippy1981 @IBMZ Hi @zippy1981. z/OS was introduced in 2000 as a replacement for OS/390 and coincided with the introduction of 64-bit computing for the OS.
On this day 110 years ago the Computing-Tabulating-Recording Company, the precursor to @IBM, was founded. From humble beginnings sprang the company that Thomas Watson Sr. would mold into a global force in technology, management and culture.
@RickSchoonmaker No idea how it can be explained :-) I'm just sayin that FL has the second oldest population in the country but they are #30 per capita for covid infections...
@RickSchoonmaker It seems unlikely since it's the 3rd most populous state in the nation and ranked 30th out of 50 per capita for covid. Give credit where credit is due.
@SpencerJCox@marcmolinaro This is WOW and a big breath of fresh air! This is almost non-existent in our current political discourse. People on both sides of the aisle can learn a lot from these guys!
@ravithakur50 If you have z/OS Connect EE already, you can consider using it for outbound requests to provide automatic OpenAPI specs, data translation to/from JSON, a single API call to invoke and more. The toolkit requires more programming but with the potential for faster performance.
@ravithakur50 Hi Ravi. The toolkit does not in any way compromise your system (it's part of the base z/OS & only leverages existing IP resources) It's one layer of abstraction lower than z/OS Connect EE outbound. z/OS Connect outbound actually leverages the toolkit under the covers.
