@Neilsocialist Labour won the UK GE 2024 on 33.7% of the vote, they called it a landslide. Also the voting system for Holyrood was chosen by Labour to ensure there would never be a nationalist majority. You are reduced to carping from the side-lines Neil & looking very foolish with it.
If there's a culture of coverup and suppression anywhere it's at BBC Scotland. The Douglas Alexander/Peter Mandelson story has been removed from the main news page and was given only a cursory mention on Radio Scotland Breakfast. The Colin Smyth court appearance was ignored completely.
Stories and scandals relating to Labour are currently being ignored or supressed. No reporters assigned, no Labour politicians pursued. No requests for interviews. The only plausible explanation is that the station doesn't want to detract from its campaign against the SNP. A campaign that is mixing fact, innuendo, sensationalist allegations and falsehoods.
There's no coverage of Scottish politics on the BBC. There's only coverage of the SNP. It's akin to the behaviour of an obsessed stalker.
@ScottishSun@jimscullion Didn’t he go to the police way back in 2021 with this….hence BranchForm?
He’s already reported it years ago….its been investigated….
Another political stunt to keep his name out there and feed the Unionist media
SNP Westminster Leader @DaveDooganSNP has called for a investigation into whether Douglas Alexander broke the ministerial code over his role in the Peter Mandelson scandal, after it emerged he failed to declare meetings with Mandelson's lobby firm 👇
@HolyroodSources@agcolehamilton Other than the establishment main stream media…. Opposition politicians and some Unionist accounts on X …. Nobody outside is ‘talking about it’
Normal people are talking about the World Cup, holidays, their work, the latest Netflix show, what they are doing at the weekend.
@john_cathc57163@Daily_Record@WingsScotland What have they done to "fuck Scotland over"? is it the fact we have double the NHSbeds 30% more doctors nurses, GPs and dentists, or 20%more police with half the crime rate and a detection rate 8x that of rBritain. or band D CTax payer being £15,500 better off in 20 yrs.
The Douglas Alexander/Peter Mandelson story is sliding down the BBC BritNat news page. The story was on lunchtime Reporting Scotland where Paris Gourtsoyannis revealed Alexander appeared to have breached UK law *and* the ministerial code. Will the story now be closed down?
@BjCruickshank@RickyCa69392149 They won’t…. It’ll get a passing mention then swept away whilst they regurgitate SNP bad stories about campervans and lawn mowers.
They chucked absolutely everything at the last election and failed miserably… this is their payback
One of the key criticisms in the interviews conducted by Fiona Stalker was that Nicola Sturgeon being married to the SNP CEO created a possible conflict of interest. Pretty ironic given Stalker's marriage to a Scottish Labour activist itself creates a conflict of interest.
Douglas Alexander broke the law by not declaring he met with Mandelson's lobbying firm. His position as Secretary of State for Scotland is now untenable. The story is so big even BBC Scotland isn't ignoring it.

STV News last night. We had to do a double-take. It wasn't that long ago this guy's views were deemed unacceptable. He was a 'vile blogger'. What happened to make him a figure worthy of being given a platform? Has he been rehabilitated or is it just that he now hates the SNP?
