Student 1: who is that guy who was killed at the beginning of WW1
Student 2: oh yeah, the Arch Duke of Edinburgh. #rewritinghistory
At this time exactly a year ago, the wonderful @AhilanKVasan, stapled me back up after 7hrs of brain surgery. I’ll forever be grateful to him, his team @KingsCollegeLon and @NHSEnglandLDN for what they did for me. If only they could see how far I’ve come. #stroke#AVM#recovery
Exactly six months today since the brilliant @AhilanKVasan, spent seven hours perfectly removing my AVM and giving me my life back. Time flies when you’re recovering. #stroke#avm#brainsurgery#NHSheroes
@brainattackmuse I’d love to hear some more of your highs and lows of recovery. Today is 6 months since my surgery, so just finished my first 6 month block. It’s important to be reminded that it’s a marathon and not a sprint.
@SallyGunnarsson That’s great news Sally! I hope he is released home to you soon. Send him my best for his recovery. Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help. Xx
@SallyGunnarsson I’m sorry to hear about what your family are going through. I will be thinking about your son on Wed. My surgery was in December, and although I was sore, tired and uncomfortable for a few days. I’m now back to work, and completely risk free. Xx
