Tune into BBC One on 30 June at 2.05pm to watch Epilepsy Society's BBC Lifeline Appeal presented by the fantastic @edibow.
You can watch more about how epilepsy is more than just seizures, and the different ways that Epilepsy Society can support you. 💜
We welcome news of world first neurostimulator implanted inside 13-year-old boy's skull to control his epilepsy. 💜
Ley Sander, our Medical director said: “This is good news and spells hope for children with some of the most severe epilepsies."

Just wondering how if a man wolf whistles at a woman it’s classed a misogynist behaviour yet @catdeeley does it none stop & always makes comments about men in shorts or certain tops etc seems a bit crazy?? #thismorning
@poppy_cooks Sadly it’s the classic case of people wanting you to do well & then hating it your doing well I’ve had it in previous jobs (not on your scale like media person) but still working from bottom to top. Sod the hater’s if you & your family is happy that’s the main 😊😊
@MetroUK@epilepsyaction I’m a 100% the same i use humour as a coping mechanism I’ve done some crazy things & family laugh at some stories but the first thing they always say is “bloody hell are you ok??” In all the epilepsy groups I’m in we never make fun of others unless they use humour then we do!
Simon Privett from @EpilepsyAction was diagnosed with epilepsy in 1996.
He says he jokes about his own condition, but would never make light of someone else’s
@epilepsyaction@catdeeley Why has @thismorning put a tweet out apologising for in @catdeeley words ‘a light hearted comment’ Any other disability it would get much more attention & be totally unacceptable but This Morning let her just say it’s a light hearted comment!!! 😡😡 #epilepsy#epilepsyawarness
Just 2 months ago for Purple Day, @catdeeley you helped raise awareness about epilepsy & still end up saying something thoughtless.
Your careless use of language has real consequences for people with epilepsy who already face so much stigma.
This is why we need more awareness!
@ADanielle1994 @epilepsyaction@epilepsysociety@BrainAblaze@AngelineBrasier Glad she apologised but to say it was a light hearted comment is wrong how about if she did something else of a disability that gets more media awareness would that be acceptable?? & @thismorning hasn’t put a statement up apologising for it 😡
Seizures are no laughing matter for people with #epilepsy@catdeeley.
Please do better and educated yourselves about this difficult and poorly understood condition, @thismorning 💜
