I’m looking at the Sky Broadband Basics Plan for £20 a month and was wondering what speeds this would give me

I’m aware I would need to order a normal plan and then be moved to this

@virginmedia Shotts and Edinburgh are separate places with the same issues at least 30 miles apart

How big would you count as an area issue?

@virginmedia getting WiFi on and off in Shotts the status checker is showing INTERMITTENT issues and to wait 24 hours

This has been ongoing for 4 days according to family and it’s practically unusable especially today

Any chance of figuring out what’s going on as that’s there

@virginmedia Just checked mine in Edinburgh this is also showing as Intermittent Signal in my area

My phone won’t even connect to it saying connection failed

You sure there isn’t a bigger issue here?

@virginmedia As a temporary solution but I shouldn’t have to do this

Can’t tell if it’s just an issue for them or the entire town

@virginmedia It won’t tell me exactly what’s gone wrong.

It has allowed me to book an engineer for Thursday after 4pm but that’s still another 2 days with no working connection

I have Virgin at my place as well so currently on route there to test that and pick up a 5G router to give them

The Hub 5 is showing the usual white light though

@VodafoneUK I just spoke to that number they were useless wouldn’t even let me cancel the service when I asked for it to be escalated I was told there was no issues

Just got CityFibre FTTP installed with @VodafoneUK in Edinburgh but my traffic is routed through Manchester, causing 26ms ping instead of 9ms like others nearby. On full fibre. Why am I paying for FTTP with worse routing than Virgin Coax? Fix it or I cancel. @CityFibre
