A small section of my current work in progress. I've just got through the inevitable wobbly patch I experience with every new painting, that feeling that it is just never going to look right. So now, with a renewed spring in my paintbrush, its onwards once again.
It's another varnishing day. New painting, 'Lemon Parsley', off to Norwich to be framed very soon, then delivered on to Gladwell and Patterson gallery in London.
Just finished this painting. 'Lemon Parsley', 70 x 100 cm. Soon to be on it's way to Gladwell and Patterson gallery in London to join their forthcoming Winter Collection.
My latest painting, still a work in progress but almost finished. 'The Garden Shelf', oil on gesso panel 100 x 80 cm. After three months of intense work it's exciting to finally be thinking about the last few finishing touches.
New painting just finished - 70 x 100cm, oil on panel. The main subject is an Oregano plant in a clay pot. The shelf on which my still life sits is genuinely a shelf in my garden, untouched from when we moved in. Nails in the wall, bits of wire hanging, just as we found it.
