Olivia Marie Smith, 33, was arrested on July 16, 2026 for the sexual battery of an 8th-grade student! 😡

She is charged with sexual battery of a child under 18 while in a position of trust, and enticement of a child to meet for sexual purposes.

Ocean Springs School District flagged her to police on June 20 and fired her after its own investigation.
Detectives say the abuse happened in 2023 while she was a teacher at Ocean Springs Middle School (Teacher of the Year in 2022).
She had since been promoted to assistant principal at Oak Park Elementary.

She was taken into custody after a probable cause hearing, with bond set at $100,000.
